Les Paul Rememberance

Musician, Inventor and guitar hacker Les Paul passed away yesterday at the age of 94. Paul invented multi-track recording, pioneered the solid body Spanish (as opposed to Hawaiian) guitar and enabled millions of other musicians, producers and engineers to do things that would otherwise not have been possible.

Paul regularly performed in public and gave interviews until shortly before his death. His 1950's recordings with then wife Mary Ford introduced radio audiences to overdubbing and tape manipulation. Decades after Gibson began building guitars to his specifications he was still modifying his own instruments to better fit his immediate needs.

Paul is survived by millions of thankful musicians.
